NLDS 2008 Singapore: A Walk to Remember

NLDS 2008 for some of us (Guin, Anto, and Fany) was the first international conference, a new challenge and opportunity that AIESEC gave to us. I heard a words from Mil (one of the tallest AIESECer in LCUB) that to realize going abroad is so difficult, but with AIESEC everything is possible, cheaper, and funtaztic!!! yeah...

Connecting for a Sustainable Future is the grand theme of this conference, because we want to link everyone learn from the PAST, do what we can do TODAY, and create the best FUTURE for the world...(so sweet, it is sweet..)

About 164 delegates from over 17 countries were gather in Singapore Management University (One of the biggest mal, ups..university in Singapore, becoz SMU is damn large and luxurious, even beat all the "big" mall in Malang, believe me!!) on 11 - 14 December 2008. 5 days full agenda, 5 days fun, 5 days outing, 5 days ate western food (no menik- menik menu at all, thanks God)

Those pictures tell you a lot about our 2 days Pre-conference activities lah..(Singlish always use "lah" in the end of the sentences)

The serious part of the NLDS is the plenary, but its not too serious, like you always know, there also a lot of roll dances, roll call, crowd, shouting, and any expression (just like theater show lah).

5 days, run so fast there (in fact Singapore is 1 hour faster than Indonesia) but yah it just like dreaming, when you wake up another morning than everything has passed, but there we also learn fast and take everything provided.

4. Key Note Speaker explained about leadership
5. Learning Networks Day workshops
6. Global Village
7. Developing Leaders Day
8. Gala Dinner (Celebrating 60 Anniversary of AIESEC)
