NLDS 2008 Singapore: A Walk to Remember

NLDS 2008 for some of us (Guin, Anto, and Fany) was the first international conference, a new challenge and opportunity that AIESEC gave to us. I heard a words from Mil (one of the tallest AIESECer in LCUB) that to realize going abroad is so difficult, but with AIESEC everything is possible, cheaper, and funtaztic!!! yeah...

Connecting for a Sustainable Future is the grand theme of this conference, because we want to link everyone learn from the PAST, do what we can do TODAY, and create the best FUTURE for the world...(so sweet, it is sweet..)

About 164 delegates from over 17 countries were gather in Singapore Management University (One of the biggest mal, ups..university in Singapore, becoz SMU is damn large and luxurious, even beat all the "big" mall in Malang, believe me!!) on 11 - 14 December 2008. 5 days full agenda, 5 days fun, 5 days outing, 5 days ate western food (no menik- menik menu at all, thanks God)

The serious part of the NLDS is the plenary, but its not too serious, like you always know, there also a lot of roll dances, roll call, crowd, shouting, and any expression (just like theater show lah).

5 days, run so fast there (in fact Singapore is 1 hour faster than Indonesia) but yah it just like dreaming, when you wake up another morning than everything has passed, but there we also learn fast and take everything provided.

4. Key Note Speaker explained about leadership
5. Learning Networks Day workshops
6. Global Village
7. Developing Leaders Day
8. Gala Dinner (Celebrating 60 Anniversary of AIESEC)

PBoX E² CAMPAIGN ( Entrepreneurship and Expansion Campaign)
 This is the first time for our local committee to run this project. The idea to execute this project is based on ceaseless discussion about the issue of social entrepreneurship and the importance of expanding market within a company in the world, AIESEC in Indonesia, and the most important thing is in the city of Malang. 
 This project will empower and develop entrepreneurship among people who have a potential, but lack the mean to apply them. We also help the potential company, hence small medium enterprise to expand the business into a new target market.
 By bringing the capable people form all over the world, we promote the opportunity to discuss the issue among different culture, and we also want to challenge the city’s world view with AIESEC people and company together work with the issue.

National Conferrence 1

EHMM..its too early morning that I have to make this post.yeey!give applause to anto my beloved coach!*I love u so much!! TT*.

Well,wanna talking about something great at november 15-19,2008??yey!we have National Conferrence 1 at Puncak Kana Resort!!

November,15 2008
UB Delegates come late to Puncak Kana Resort Bogor.guys,we have to spend 25 hours in bus because there is a little problem*am i sure that just a little prob?8D*.so tired,and my body*and im sure all of delegates and also driver too*is going broke.but there is no reason to take a rest after we arrive because we must join a plenary with unique smell in our body*yeah,we aren’t going bath yet*,all UB delegates are lucky bcoz the delegates from other LC isn’t complain about that.Hhaha.hei,hei..don’t forget about the roll dance!yeah!!we love roll dance so much!just roll and roll XD

After the plenary we have to be ready for traditional booth!yeey!!although LC UA win the best traditional booth,but LC UB isn’t really bad.bcoz everyone in there love trying “keripik bakso” x].n theres a drama too,the title of UB Drama is”Asal Usul Kerajaan Kediri”.Our drama is so interesting*is not just my opinion as UB delegates,but I can see it from the audience’s commotion*

Wake up in 6 am,go to bath,get breakfast and plenary againnn.plenaryplenaryplenary.but guess what?it isn’t boring!because in plenary we can get more knowledge and also can make us moremore and more love AIESEC.And we can get more friends too! from LC UA,LC Bandung, LC Surabaya, LC UD,LC UI,the OC Team, and MCP!hhoho

Same like time before,we spend our time with plenary.But it doesn’t mean we cant enjoy the time in Puncak Kana Resort.In break time we playing jigijoy!!yeey.n not just UB Delegates whose enjoy the jigijoy but also many friends from other delegates. .

Because of bad weather we cant doing army party,but don’t be sad guys to replace that failed party we can enjoy our favourite roll dance all night long!!yeah,roll dance party!!

Aha!plenary again.in this day we choose MCP Fictional candidates.yeah!although there aren’t UB Delegates can representation LC UB*newbies:”we’re regret guys TT”*but it can be lesson for all of us that we are not only have to work hard but also work smart*quote from Sena 8D*
It is the last night in Natcon 1,what we have to do guys?yep,Election of MCP Fictional, and MCP Fictional goes to… Shanty Debora from LC UI!!yayy*I really sorry bcoz I haven’t her pict when get the MCP fictional*
After the great Election we have something that we are waiting so much, Gala Dinner!!

After long party,now we arrive in last day in Puncak Kana Resort.wow,time run so fast.But we still have plenary n we get interesting spectacle too from MCP. .
