ICX Department
Report for ICX meeting last month:
- Meeting held every Friday at 09.45 until 11.30
- What we were discuss that time: SME project, Children adhoc, English development adhoc, Go green adhoc, and preparation of HIV project
- The result:
SME project will have 24 interns, 4 from MC, 7 in first term, and the last is for second term.
frist term interns consist of 1 belgian, 2 indian, 2 kazakhs, 1 mauritius, and 1 new zealand,
Second period interns still on the process, but there are some interns already fixed: 4 chinese, 1 taiwanese, 1 Austria
Children adhoc have 5 interns, 4 already came at November (1 Poland and 3 new zealand) and anther will come at mid of dec
We have partnership with Kauman elementary school, Muhammadiyah Orphanage, English course at CLE, and disable kids foundation at CLE too
Go green adhoc will have additional interns from Korea name alexis in the middle of Dec and the partnership will be remain with Tuinas Hijau, but also with IAAS
English development project will have interns come for Dec named xuan li and the partnership with Economic faculty in brawijaya university still doubtful, so we still searching for sollution with Unmer (Mrs Kun)
HIV team still not created yet because the focus of Pbox coord still on SME team

but there always one or two managers who can't come, so we still dont have complete bonding
but we already share our expectation and our introduce ourselves deeply (psychologically) each other.

we have moslem holiday,christmas, and of course new year's celebration
This month, AIESEC Indonesia held a NLDS Jakarta at taman mini indonesia indah (TMII) from dec 5th until december 9th
and also we have NLDS Singapore!!
We are really proud of you guys, who have joined the NLDS.Especially to Malika Ramadhani who elected as LCUB delegates for MCVP
TM have 3 core activities in this december. There are gathering,training,and the last is mentoring
Lets begin from the gathering
as you know..we have some informal gathering such as futsal, karaoke time, and we have community gathering who held by ER department
formal and informal gathering are very important to build our sense of belonging to AIESEC UB.
we will know each other,getting closer, and have good relationship with our partner in project or department
hope next time all of you can join our gathering guys.
the second is training
at december 18th we held communication training located at last stop caffe (near persada swalayan).
it was very interesting to find out how to make design for media tools and also create our movie!!
there so many talented discover there. They have good design and taste but not develop yet
so guys.. its a new learning and knowledge for you
keep explore your potential skill and maybe you can beat communication's team design^^

Now, we goes to Mentorship session
We know that mentorship is one of the activity which have difficult and complex systems. why? because we must makes a match
"someone" (mentor) and "someone" (mentee) who has different characters and personal. But, AIESECers still need mentorship.
Mentoring is a partnership between two people built upon trust, offers ongoing support and development opportunities,
guidance, counseling and support in the form of pragmatic and objective assistance, and also helps mentees
and mentors progress in their personal and professional growth.
OUR SYSTEM
Talent Management 0910 have two system for mentoring implementation, and its so different.
First, FORMAL MENTORSHIP IMPLEMENTATION, this system are running by new member who have same stage, same experiences,
and same knowledge in AIESEC. So, we enacting one guideline, one rule, and one way to work.
Altought, we know that mentoring is about "someone" who have different personal and character, so we still keep flexibility
in that process.
Second, INFORMAL MENTORING IMPLEMENTATION, this system running by member who have different stage, different experiences,
and different needs analysis. So, they can implement this mentoring more flexible, but still have to control.
For this implementation, we have MENTOR AND MENTEE MATCHING TOOLS, it can help us to past on fitting process.
So, we can maximize good match between mentor and mentee, and also can minimize unfitted between mentor and mentee
in their mentoring process.
in TARGET GROUP DEFINITION, we suggest maximum 2 mentee per each mentor, to make easily process, and easy of controlling.
And, every end of month mentor must fill the PERFORMANCE REPORT,it function as a controlling to keep handling
this implementation.
Until now, I'm really be greatful because this mentorship can running well. Start from looking for mentor,filled matching
tools,fitting process,and in last november 2009 we start first session, and we still have minimum six session again.
and, so far, mentors can do it well, and mentee really enjoy with them.
Hope that our system can running well in next month and so on, and can support to get excellent AIESEC LC UB member

ER DEPARTMENT BONDING
ER DEPARTMENT BONDING 3RD EDITION
TIME: SUNDAY, 22 NOVEMBER 2009
PLACE: DO RE MI KARAOKE, CAK PI’I RESTO
This bonding is held in order to have mind refreshment and also to get closer in ER team, including new members that allocated as our staff. We meet at Campus as the meeting point. Actually we invite all ER Team, unfortunately some of them couldn’t come. Mesayu and Rully is visited by their parents, and Rani was sick, so the new members only Fattah.
After some discussion, we decide to go to DOREMI by Weni’s car. Four of us (Fani, Weni, Noy & Fattah) going directly to the place, while Bejo still in Batu and will go there as soon as his business finished.
We booked the Karaoke Room for 2 hours, and have a great singing moment there. Even though Fattah just one hour there, but we enjoy it very much. After Fattah going home, then Bejo arrived. We continue singing for about one hour later, and of course we’re not forgetting about photo session. We ask for the employees there to take pictures for us.
After finished Karaoke, we then decide to have lunch. Another discussion happened to decide which place we’ll visit to have lunch. Finally, we decide to go to Cak Pi’I Resto to have lunch.
After ordering some food, we start to talk about many things; however the main point of our chit-chat is getting closer each other. Having finished our lunch, we decide to go home because it starts raining. Weni takes us back to the campus and after saying goodbye to each other we finished the 3rd bonding session of ER Department.

IM FUN DAY (part 1)
In myaiesec.net session hosted by the Vice President of communication is Festian Handardi dicuss about: first, how to make application for entry into the system. Second, describe the features on it. Third, increase the role of member of the TR I2A.
For the next session is Corel draw, hosted by the virtual manager of communication that is Dandi Ramadhan. In this session, manager and newee taught how to use Corel draw to create a poster design for a project or event. Things to note is the placement AIESEC Logo branding, color selection, and the purpose of the event and more information (contact person).
At the end of the session, Danny held a competition to newee or manager, to create a promotional tool in the form of posters or fliers.
- The theme of OGX and exchange.
- The deadline for gathering design is January 4th, 2010.
- File collected directly to Danny or the tag on facebook.
- There are very cool prizes for the 3 winners!
Last but not least is the use of Swishmax software, which conducted by relationship manager is Abdul Rifani. In this session, he teaches how to create animated images and shapes to make a presentation or video. Member quickly understand how to use this software.

(English-Development)
English Development is an Ad Hock. The goals are improve the English for student of university. They discuss about the hot economic issue. But also, we can share all the things that we have. Cultural understanding is also the goal. Because, we will have an interns from China. They will to be a facilitator for the discussion times. They also help Communication, ICX and ER department to raise the partner.

There are 7 delegates from AIESEC LC UB. They are Majid Abdillah, Suta Wijaya, Andy Chandra, Handhayu Kusumowinahyu, Nila Fitri Wulandari, Olivia Martina and Jeane Angelique. They will going to Singapore this week. Cool. We hope, they can get everything there and MAKE AN IMPACT for their country! Yeah! Hai AIESEC?!

There was a good time, a beautiful day and great moment in Batu at December 5th. Suta, Ario, Adam, Dila and Rizky (Host Family of Jean) with 4 interns: Jean, Robin, May and Kay. We went to BNS,, cool… there so fun. We played all the games almost. There was a little problem before we went to BNS, it was rained. We waited a hour and after that we go there.. Well, there is a lot of fun and new experience for adam, risky, sutha and also the interns. Because that is the first time to go to BNS. So, that week-end has really-really-really GREAT.. yayayya.. hope we can go there again with other inters and get new experience again.. see you

There was a welcoming party at November 26th in Anastasya’s house. So, the party started at 5 o’clock evening till 7 o’clock. There was a problem. It was rained. Hiks . But we must start it well. Anastasya is member of Aiesec. Well, we have been held welcoming party for two our interns. There are from Belgium and Poland. The man is Jean and the girl is Kasya. Jean included in PboX SME and Kasya take a Children Ad Hock. Cool, there was many of food, thanks for Anas’s Mom who, has prepared it well. Thank you so much.
Then, after the welcoming party, we held farewell party for Rianne, she is from Holand. She was took a Go Green Ad Hock during 6 weeks. She is very kind and also beautiful. We never forget it. Thanks for Rianne who, was took project in Indonesia especially in Malang. We hope we will meet in other times .

Really nice meet you again with different story about our gathering after we told you about welcoming new member last month,
Now,... we really proud to tell you about our great gathering ever called "LOCAL COMMITTE CONFERENCE" with inspiring theme
"Be The Next Future Leader."
This LCC is the first LCC which held in this term (0910), that's why OCs really prepare it with all of spirit in their body and mind...
Here is the sharpness of interesting Local Committee Conference program.
DAY 1
~preparation and departure
We clubbed together with the other member, old member, new member, and EB at 10.30 am on basement
The OCs prepared all of the things that can support the LCC run well.
After that, we leave at 11.30 am with personal car from Marsha (TN manager), Ario (OCVP PD IF '09), the other new member Risti and Ryan (thanks guys,..)
But, turn out to be,...the car isn't enough for our delegates, so, the OCs rented out one public transportation (Angkot)
~the interesting first day...
The first day, they (delegates) so excited, especially for new member, started with opening flash from communication department. Well, we are introduced our great chair R.PAMUNGKAS ALAMIN or APANG (National Supporting Team as Talent Development Manager AIESEC
He is really can make our gathering feel interesting and lively.
After that, in some session we separate our delegates with two venue, up stair venue for new member, and down stair venue for manager and old member
Why? Because of they didn't have the same training needs analysis, so we must part them.
But, in other session we need to rejoin their again.
Well, first day, session for new member are
Session for manager and old member are AIESEC WAY, AIESEC REALITY AND SYNERGY, AIESEC XP REFRESHMENT, and WHY EXCHANGE (the facilitator are EB) session for all delegates are AIESEC SUB SYSTEM, EP SHARING AND X+L CAMPAIGN (with Guindra), EXTERNAL SESSION (with Lia), INTERNAL POLICY,WRAP UP,
And the last one is PARTY TIME....YE.....
For our party, we have greatest theme "HALLOWEEN", so the OCs explained to the delegates before (in the briefing) that they must to prepare some Halloween costume. It can support their performance in the party. And, they perform it (thanks delegates)
After they use the costume and have some make up (so scary they are..), we have roll dance, and then roll call contest.
Then, we have schooling party with "salubrious" drink from OC, and the schooling party winner is group 1 (congratulation guys,...)
DAY 2
Actually, or delegates are tired enough, so we have plenary at 8.00 am.
Then, for 2nd day session we have mentoring, PBoX session, Personal Goal Setting for new member with facilitator are EB and managers
So, manager and old member we have functional and performance appraisal with the other EB
Much of session in the second day are merging our manager and old member with new member, with interesting session like strategic building, SG sharing (from LC Padjajaran University),
PBoX presentation, International Conference (with Martin and Milwanda), Legislation, how to inspire others?, I am an achiever campaign, and last one is reward and recognition
AIESEC value award goes to (Anindita Prastuti, Malika, Suta Wijaya, Galuh Rizka, Ryantiar, Nur Nafiastuti) and best delegates goes to Agatha and Fitria Avicena and also we have the other award like best costume and best make up Halloween
Actually, the delegates have wonderful impression with this LCC, especially for new member. Because this is the new experiences for them and opportunity to know more about AIESEC, culture, new atmosphere, new environments, new friends, new knowledge, and new life changing experience.
We hope that all of new member can make our LC better and help us to achieve our goal and support our success.

Intership Fair 2009
Internship Fair, is one of AIESEC’s numerous projects. AIESEC Indonesia Local Committee Universitas Brawijaya for the second time will conduct Internship Fair 2009.this event is made to facilitate young people who want to take the opportunity to do exchange, during which they can feel a life-changing experience while having the work environment from the internship.Going exchange through AIESEC is different from other exchange platforms, simply because we offer internship as our exchange purpose. We believe that by doing internship abroad, people can have a professional work experience that differs from their country’s work culture and adapt to a totally different society than the one they have in their own, even more leadership development.There are so many opportunities that AIESEC offer through exchange, and we hope by making Internship Fair, Indonesian youths can have the access to those opportunities.

At Nov 4th, some of the OC has done a talk show at Elfara FM to describe the IF 2009 for the listeners. That’s one of promotion we’ve done for this event. Follows the promotion we’ve done, there’s a lot of applicants that register to attend this event. So, come on you guys also register you and your friends to join this event.
We actually open the ticket box on the spot but considering the amount of the applicant we've decided. It will be more wises for you to register your name and your friend's right now! Just come to the ticket box at Basement FE UB. We will welcome you every day from monday - saturday 9am till 4pm. With only IDR 35000, you can get the international-rated certificate, application form that actually priced IDR 100000, and meet the interns from Japan & Netherland. That doesn't include the most wanted event, talk show and training from the experts.
In Internship Fair 2009 we are offering a lot of benefits, such as International-rated certificate for the attendants and we packed it good with a lot of fun in it.
All the OC (OCP, Programmer, GA Finance & Communication) works hard together, to make this event success. The programmer created such a good concept for this event, while the GA Finance works on the budgeting, financial support and recording the event expenditure and the communication division creating banner and all the promotion thingy.
This Nov 5th, the OC working on flags of countries because we're gonna open 7 booths that represent each country that involved in the INTERNSHIP FAIR 2009. The countries are Ukraine, Mainland of China, Poland, India, Malaysia, Turkey, and Philliphines. Each booth have distinctive theme that describe each of the countries uniqueness. Hope we're gonna throw a very successful event. :D

AIESEC LC University of Brawijaya, now proudly present a big event “INTERNSHIP FAIR 2009”
In that day, Faradeby Septining Ajeng as an OCP of this event, and Pipin as an OCVP Programmer came to ORYZA FM with Kalinda Sufi IStifarah as a Media Manager of Communication Department.
After, they went to a talk show in ORYZA, at 15.00pm. Faradiba Septining Putri with pipin, Barbara,and also kalinda go to ELFARA FM to meet and talk show second sessions.
Talent Management Bonding
This is the bounding story of TM department AIESEC’ LC UB 2009/2010. After we held and finished our biggest project in quarter 1 which is RECRUITMENT NEW MEMBERS^^ we feel so tired and try to find how to refresh our energy so we can work again for the next project..wow!! what a spirit!!
So we think about what should we do?
Then we find the answer, to refresh energy we need a FOOD’ right? And Malang is a city of bakso or meatball^^. There so many kind of bakso from boiled to grilled. The general shapes of bakso to cubicle bakso. From the north to the south we can find bakso. Bakso is malang lifestyle^^.
Fortunately, we love bakso so we decide to visite the famous warung bakso in malang with limited money..only IDR 30.000!!!
First trip…”bakso kota cak” man..2 meatball..1 prawn gorengan..1 syomay..1 tofu..and 1 teh botol sosro don’t forget .. free noodles^^
Not full enough.. we go to bakso bakar “pak man” by angkot. It just need 2500 to go there.
Gooooo….we stopped angkot GA and continued our destination to pasar besar malang. I heard from my mom that near pasar besar malang we can find delicious bakso solo with big portion. hhihi^^
4 bakso 2 gorengan 1 tofu 1noodles and a glass of ice tea really made my stomach just like explode!!
What a fabulous bonding
We not only eat bakso but also discuss about our department’s strategy and next manager’s job description
We share anything from the little problem in AIESEC to the problem in our private life. We love TM family and try to do the best for it. Because we want to keep alive the spirit of TM LC UB 08/09 ,the best TM team in Indonesia

ER DEPARTMENT BONDING
Time: Saturday
Place: Matos Food Court
First arrive in Matos, four of us, Weni, Fani, Bejo, and Noy order some food, because it’s already lunch time. While waiting for the food, we open the bonding session with prayer and agenda explanation by VP ER, Weni. The ordered food then come just in time after Weni finished her agenda explanation for the bonding session. We delay the bonding session to enjoy our lunch.
Having finished our lunch, then we continue into the bonding session again. The first agenda is reviewing and evaluate each other performance. Here, each person is reviewed and evaluated by another three person. For example, Weni is evaluated by Fani, Bejo and Noy, and so on until all people’s performance are reviewed and evaluated. For the conclusion, we come up with the solutions for each people’s problem.
Evaluating ER general performance becomes our 2nd agenda. We try to measure the performance and the development of ER department in the first quarter. This discussion comes up with a new idea, Community Gathering. We agreed that, the most problem faced by our projects is finding suitable TN for interns’ workplace. Through this Community Gathering, we try to invite potential school and potential partner candidates to be explained about AIESEC activities in this term, 2009-2010. There’ll also share experience from stakeholders that already or has been worked together with AIESEC in the past and in current time. Hopefully, through this event, the potential schools and partner candidates could realize the benefit of having relationship and partnership with AIESEC.
And our second round food has come; three French Fries to be enjoyed are ready…
We held the last agenda with enjoying the French fries. Here, we discuss about how to relate each function of the ER Department (Corporate, Non-Corporate, & Relationship) to work together as a team. This also include what can each function do to help other function in order to make ER Department work properly and could give its best effort to get maximum results in the end of the term. The discussion also talks about AIESEC knowledge updating through National Conference, so it’s come up with a conclusion that the managers should join National Conference Bandung.
After the discussion over, and all of our food were taken by the cleaning service, we finished our bonding session with a prayer, and conclude that we’ll meet again in the regular meeting.

For the first, we are lunch together. After that, we shared about our VP and one of our manager experience when came to National Conference in Lembang, Bandung. Many experiences they got from those National Conference. Dandi, our virtual manager of communication said that there are so many problems. We shared all about media tracking for the first quarter.
But, from evaluation for the first quarter, we shared how to improve our job for the next quarter.
FEEL SO GREAT. .
Our meeting and bonding was so interesting. Each person must gave some exciting games. Such as TRUTH OR TRUTH. This game we must to explore and gave the real answer from our question. Not only truth or truth, but also we played the (alih fungsi). Hahahaha. This is games we must to change one things to other functional things.
And finally.. we walked inside MOG and saw everything, bought ice tea and Suta wanted buy shoes but he didn’t have money yet. Hahaha.. and we walked out of MOG and say good bye each other. See you! :)

Welcoming New Member, EP and Halal Bihalal

EXCELLENT!!!!
First of all let us say congratulation to our beloved LC, AIESEC LC Brawijaya University, because be the best LC in Indonesia term 08/09.
We so proud to be part of this LC..
Now, we have 36 new members in our LC...., yeeeeah...
After long process (around 40 days) we have selection 140 applicants...and then in October 6, 2009 we held "WELCOMING NEW MEMBER, EP AND HALAL BIHALAL".
The OC invites new members (of course), EBs, Managers, members, EP, and special guest is Natasa, she is AIESECer from Slovakia.
Here is our gathering, that get started at 5 pm in Risty house (Jl. DR. Wahidin Malang)
Our MC (Dandi and Bonbon) open our gathering with merry video flash, the video flash is about selection process and 36 new members name. (yeeeaa..!!! so shocked they are...).
Then, our LCP Rizky Febrianto or Mas Peb give welcome mat and introduction about EP, EBs and the departments too.. And he announced best VP for September is Nissa Rahmawati as VP Talent Management Department (Congratulation...!!!).
To make our new members feel the atmosphere of AIESEC LC UB, we told them with some roll dance and roll call.
After that, we have inspiring session, yeah.. that's Mas Wily session. He told about how proud us to be AIESECers and how to give some motivation to our self to go exchange
The inspiring session continue with Guindra session, ya.. He went to exchange to China, wao. . so cool right!!!
He told about his experiences and he told us from his excellent video flash... (We suggest you to watch that video!!!)
Actually, our LC have a lot of project from this month like Adhoc and Internship Fair, our new members must know about it, so we have explanation session with Shintia as Development Manager, Tika as VP ICX, Mariam as SnL Manager, Olin as PBoX Coordinator and Aryo as OC of Internship Fair 2009. After explanation, all of new member filled temporary allocation from development manager to know what their passion for the first allocation process.
Ouwh...lost to, the time point out in 9 pm.
We must end the gathering,... With some special dinner from Risty's Family.
The Ocs feel so happy because can closed that long recruitment process with smile...just keep your spirit, guys..!!
